NYPEA STALLION SERVICE AUCTION 2007

• The minimum bid is $200 or 1/2 the stud fee which ever is greater. Stallions standing at private treaty will be $300.

• Any additional fees such as booking/collection, shipping and/or container fees, are payable directly to the stallion owner. Please contact stallion owner before submitting bid (s) as those fees might be different from those listed in the Stallion Directory.

• Mare owners should also contact stallion owners directly concerning servicing terms, availability dates and stallion service contracts.

• The purchase of a stallion service provides that mares will be covered with fresh or fresh cooled semen Bid forms will be accepted through February 14 (click here for bid form)

Results of the bidding will be posted on the NYPEA website under stallion auction results beginning at noon and ending at 7:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on February 15, 2007.

Detailed stallion information is available –NYPEA Stallions Link Incentives High Bid Award For the 2007 Stallion Service Auction, the NYPEA is offering an award to the highest bid received.

The top bidder in the 2007 auction will be awarded a Free PHBA Registration in 2008 for the resulting foal. Owner must contact Michelle DeMello within 6 months after the foal is born. NYPEA will not pay for any late or PIP registrations.

High Score Award Commencing with the NYPEA shows of 2008 - an award will be presented at the NYPEA Banquet to the highest open pointed weanling that is the result of a winning bid from the NYPEA stallion service auction. Any stallion owner that donated a breeding to the SSA will also be eligible for this award. This award is presented for the foal's weanling year only. Foal must show under at least 6 judges to be eligible.

All Stallion Owners will receive one free full page ad in our NYPEA Booklet along with being listed on the NYPEA website. Ads must be submitted to Karen Andrews at 725 East Hill Rd Binghamton, NY 13901 Email: kandrews@stny.rr.com the dead line for ads is 01/30/2007. The booklet will go to press: February 28th, 2007. All foals born regardless of color will also be eligible for the NYPEA Open Rainbow Futurity as long as the Rainbow futurity criteria is met that one parent MUST be a palomino.

NYPEA Submission Check List

  1. Contact stallion owners directly for complete stallion information. Including stallion servicing terms and availability dates, additional booking/collection fees, and stallion service contract.
  2. Review and sign Auction Agreement.
  3. Fill out Bid Form completely, being sure to print contact information legibly. ( One bid form per stallion, bidder may submit up to 3 bid forms.)
  4. Enclose a check in the amount of high bid made payable to NYPEA. (Submitted bids may be withdrawn by February 14, 2007 and all non-winning checks will be returned via mail).
  5. Enclose signed Bid Agreement, Bid Form and payment in envelope. Please write “Stallion Auction” on front of envelope.
  6. Send envelope to NYPEA Stallion Auction.
